The Public Theater have just announced the plays to be performed this summer for Shakespeare in the Park’s 50th anniversary season: As You Like It and Into the Woods. What’s really interesting to me is that they’re bringing in the production of Into the Woods that was done in Regent’s Park in 2010. It’s very…different than past productions of ITW (see the video). Cinderella with dreadlocks? A child narrator? Chorus members in gold short shorts? Okay, The Public, you’ve got my attention.
